Java Server Developer
Location: San Jose, California
Reports to: Senior Management
We are expanding our team to grow our product offering and extend our technology base. This position will participate in the definition of the architecture to support and extend our existing services, drive new product features and insure that our offering scales in a global SaaS offering. This is a hands-on role where you will be defining, leading, and building significant portions of our server and services architecture.
The qualified candidate will have experience as a technical lead of complex server systems. Experience developing customizable business logic/rule engines in a multi-threaded distributed offering required. They will quickly grasp the company vision and translate that into an actionable plan.
Responsibilities:
- Work with senior management to insure that our servers and services support our growing offering and long term product vision. Provide hands on leadership and implementation of services technology.
- Must be a strong Java Systems Developer. Solid understanding of Java runtime, Linux/Unix/Windows OS, the Java programming language and its strengths and weaknesses.
- Excellent understanding of data-structures, algorithms, and multi-threaded programming with the ability to use these concepts to deliver solutions, and explain why you are making design choices.
- You should be naturally very technical, and curious. You dig beneath the surface to understand how things work, why they are a certain way and what the design trade-offs were.
- Provide technical support and guidance for post release, production systems.
- Mentor junior engineers to implement, and enforce coding and performance standards
- Monitor and evaluate service based technologies and tools for possible adoption.
- Optimize service implementation to maximize resource utilization and provide guidance on projected resource needs.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of professional product development experience in Java on Linux
- 5+ years of experience with multi-threaded programming, and high performance data access
- Complex SQL programs come easily, working with large data sets, including experience writing triggers and stored procedures.
- Significant experience working with POSTGRES required, including working with large numbers of database transactions and volumes of data (millions of rows)
- Candidate must be creative, have a positive can-do attitude, and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- BS or MS Degree in CS or related, equivalent experience
- Experience implementing for multiple languages
- Experience developing for a SaaS solution

Director of Operations
Location: San Jose, California
Reports to: Senior Management
The ideal candidate is driven to build highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and easy to administer physical and network infrastructures for SaaS applications. This person needs to have setup and managed a 24/7 operations center; negotiated contracts for equipment, Colocation, Cloud, and ISP ’s. This is a hands-on-roll; you will be doing the work too.
You need to have excellent communication skills - able to articulate requirements, issues, and manage a small team. You are pro-active, organized, diligent about documentation, can’t sleep unless Nagios has everything covered, and don’t feel a job is done until it’s automated for the next time. The position has overall accountability for our SaaS offerings availability, Corporate IT services, and the work of a small and expanding team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, and improve the 24x7 monitoring and alerting systems for the Corporate and SaaS operations infrastructure.
- Coordinate SaaS environment with engineering teams on design, reliability and maintenance issues. Brainstorm creative solutions to expand and speed our offering and reduce per customer costs.
- Manage and enhance our Asset Tracking, Change Management, ticketing systems and processes.
- Manage and assure adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, infrastructure enhancements and performance requirements.
- Extensive experience with VMware, NetApp, storage, processing and heterogeneous system management required.
- Proven experience in capacity planning, performance tuning, and infrastructure architecture. Understanding of scaling horizontally and vertically web, application and data intensive systems.
- Manage our governance process that meets partner, and company expectations for customer information privacy and security. Publish security overviews for potential customers, and handle security audits from partners.
- Ensure maintenance schedules comply with customer facing maintenance and availability SLA’s.
- Direct development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plan
- Experience managing basic Corporate IT services including network, email, VoIP, and desktop management.
- Candidate should possess an understanding of switched networks, VLANs, Layer3 switch routing, and general troubleshooting. Experience with Cisco ASA v8.x operations including Site2Site IPSEC VPN a plus.
- Experience with high volume email deliverability is a plus.

Senior Integration Engineer
Location: San Jose, California

This position requires a lateral thinking, focused engineer who can design and implement elegant, fast executing, integration solutions across the CRM and Social Networking spaces. The position will own the implementation and evolution of a new framework to standardize and speed integrations with our SaaS offering.
The successful candidate must be able to clearly articulate the challenges, problems, and approaches related to keeping large volumes of data synchronized between disparate applications.
Responsibilities:
- 5+ years hands on Java development experience with various integration interfaces; (e.g., Web Services, SOAP, JSON, XML, etc.).
- Experience syncing and processing large volumes (millions of rows) of data between multiple different systems required.
- Demonstrated development experience with multi-threaded Java based services required.
- Working development experience with Salesforce, or other CRM API’s.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience.
- Candidate must possess/demonstrate attention to details, good verbal and written communications skills and have the ability to work as a team player in a dynamic environment.
- Must have implemented a data mapping solution that addressed data normalization issues as part of a deployed integration process.
