We’ve recently added new “JUMP” action functionality to the eTrigue DemandCenter campaign builder. This new action is used to move prospects anywhere you want within a campaign – backwards and forwards – and allows campaign steps to be repeated.
The Jump action is a great feature for triggering recurring prospect actions within a campaign where you want prospects and customers to go through a campaign more than once – without having to build a new campaign or add additional steps to existing campaigns. These campaigns might include steps such as “Thanks for being our customer,” or other actions that you want to repeat.
Like all eTrigue DemandCenter actions, the Jump action may be selected and dragged (and dropped) into position in the campaign window. It’s very simple to choose the logic for triggering an action – all data fields may be used to determine the conditions that trigger a jump step. Jump actions allow you to use the same conditions as you use in other areas within DemandCenter. The choices for the data are displayed in drop-down menus where you can select and check for data values in any prospect field in DemandCenter.
We’ve also built visual clues into the DemandCenter campaign builder so you can easily determine where the Jump actions steps are pointing to. Simply click on the Jump action to highlight it and the target location – or locations (the Jump action can move prospects to many locations) – will be highlighted so you can easily determine how the campaign logic is set up.
This new action is in addition to the existing (and very powerful) Go-To-Action in eTrigue DemandCenter. The Go-To-Action is used specifically to move a prospect from one Flow in a campaign to a different Flow. The Jump action is different from the Go-To-Action . The Jump action can move a prospect to any step within a campaign – not just to another Flow. And it can move to previous steps as well so that the step may be repeated as many times as needed.
The Jump action brings an extraordinary degree of flexibility and customization to DemandCenter campaigns. It’s also smart enough to know when something within the campaign has changed and function accordingly. If the action that is being jumped to has moved, the Jump action will follow to the new location of that action, regardless of its new location in the campaign flow.
We’ve also added logic to prevent prospects from getting into loops and we’ve made the logic smart enough to continue if the Action being jumped to is deleted from the campaign. If a Jump action cannot perform the jump operation, the prospect just moves onto the next action in the campaign.
At eTrigue we’re all about making marketing automation easy to operate and simplifying marketers’ lives while keeping the focus on flexibility. We’re pleased to add functions like the Jump action when they are requested.
