Position Overview

Are you a Senior PHP Engineer who is is comfortable working across the full technology stack? Are you energized by taking on challenging problems? Do you continually seek to develop your skills, learning tools, and technologies that help you master your profession? If so, we are looking for you! As a Senior PHP Engineer at eTrigue, you will work within a small team of likeminded and talented engineers in a focused, no bureaucracy environment, striving to push the limits of our capabilities while delivering tremendous value to our customers.

What You Will Do

  • Integration and development of user-facing elements and user experiences.
  • Design for extensible and scalable multi-threaded solutions, optimizing for resource utilization, performance, and supportability.
  • Help drive the definition of PHP and JavaScript frameworks to support new features and refactor legacy elements.
  • Monitor evolving PHP and JavaScript trends and technologies for possible adoption.
  • Investigate and leverage 3rd party API’s for use in product (e.g. Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc…).

What We Are Looking For

  • 5+ years of recent production quality PHP product development experience.
  • Expert knowledge of PHP web frameworks such as Laravel, CodeIgniter, Yii, etc…
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON.
  • Experience with back-end development (LAMP stack).
  • Experience developing and maintaining complex web architectures leveraging object oriented PHP and JavaScript.
  • Experience configuring and tweaking Apache, Node.JS, and Nginx servers.
  • Experience using Memcached in a production environment.
  • Experience with integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (e.g. SVN).

What You Will Do

  • Work with the product owner to evolve and solidify the technical and experience design for new features and modules for eTrigue’s Demand Center product.
  • Design for extensible and scalable multi-threaded solutions, optimizing for resource utilization, performance, and supportability.
  • Code, test, and optimize designs across the system, subsystems and micro-services.
  • Refactor legacy code to simplify the system and create highly supportable / maintainable code.
  • Work with customer support to troubleshoot and resolve product and platform issues.
  • Monitor evolving Java Framework, SQL and noSQL database trends and technologies for possible adoption.

What We Are Looking For

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering building highly scalable systems.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Java development with advanced knowledge of Spring framework.
  • Extensive experience developing multi-threaded Java based services.
  • Extensive database experience, including database design, implementation, and optimization with SQL and NoSQL (Cassandra) databases
  • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithm fundamentals.
  • Solid understanding of APIs using standards like REST, JSON, or XML.
  • Experience working across the full technical stack of a SaaS product.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems and Servers.

This position could be your launching pad into a highly lucrative marketing automation Software as a Service marketplace. The Inside Sales Representative will work with a team of seasoned marketing and sales professionals to generate leads, qualify opportunities, and schedule initial meetings and presentations for the direct sales force. The right candidate will have superb communication skills and be comfortable making phone calls on a daily basis. Any background in telesales selling software solutions and setting appointments is a plus, but not required.   • Demonstrate proven success in developing new business and managing complex sales cycle, from generating leads to closing deals
  • Call on marketing and sales managers/executives and manage a highly consultative sales
  • Work closely with prospective clients to understand their business objectives and create the most appropriate solution to meet their needs
  • Understand the business challenges that our customers face and explain how our solution will solve their specific challenges
  • Understand the basics of our solution technically and at least be able to communicate some of the technical aspects at a high level
  • Possess 3 years of proven sales experience in software or services
  • Maintain contact with and nurture prospects who are not ready to buy

The ideal candidate is someone who has experience selling SaaS solutions to B2B sales and marketing executives, but other sales experience will be considered. Established relationships with marketing people at high-tech companies are considered a major plus.
